Here’s how. (This is also a great tool for Stress Reduction! ) Your brain loves to think. That’s its job. One way is to ‘trick it’ by giving it something else to do. This is why most meditative practices use a mantra, or repetitive word or phrase, so that peacefulness can come while the mind occupies itself saying “peace”, “om”, “salamander”, whatever works. For really busy people (99% of the population here in Washington, D.C.) I borrow from The Monroe Institute and use what I call Al Gore’s Lock Box. Visualize a large trunk. Open the lid and deposit everything that keeps you focused on your outer life—day planner, to do list, problems, bosses, kids, etc. You can use literal or symbolic images. Some people even remove their whole ‘head’ and place it in there. When you’re done close the lid and affirm you will return in a few minutes to retrieve everything. Secure the lid with a lock or cord. Begin to focus on a blackboard and see numbers from 100 to 0. Start erasing them until you get to ninety, then erase all the rest. Proceed with the imagery in the 4/29 post or, for stress reduction simply go through your entire body and breathe peace and calm to each part. Go back to the box when finished. Tell yourself that your problems are resolving and your life is now going to improve every day! Then retrieve the items and proceed with your day!

If you have any doubts focused intention can work, then you need to read Lynn McTaggert’s book, “The Intention Experiment”. It’s a compendium of research (interesting, not dry and boring) from all over the world demonstrating the power of the mind to influence physical reality. Toward the back of the book she lists certain conditions that appear to enhance the effectiveness of intention such as having a cleared space which you use repeatedly for your intention work. (Living where I do I was dismayed to see that dense populations and electromagnetic pollution were not the best environments. So I try to at least get out into parks or other natural spots as often as possible). To combine intention with intuition, use the directions from the last two blogs and once you are focused in future present time generate a flow of focused energy (I will discuss this next time) and send it into that time period to create the outcome you wish to produce. A lot of people have trouble with this part because they discover they aren’t sure about their vision, or have competing thoughts, or limiting beliefs. These are the kinds of issues I work with people to resolve. It also helps to have an intuitive counselor when anxieties are too strong to work clearly by yourself. After we get a vision and set our intention, then we can generate specific action steps to move the vision into reality.

For the past few years the business consulting portion of my practice has focused on helping people start their own businesses or make radical changes in their work, often leaving more traditional jobs for world service positions locally or internationally. This takes great courage, thought and planning to do successfully. Since so many are stepping out to make these kinds of changes I thought maybe this site could offer some helpful tips and serve as a support and sounding board for those tuning in. So for a while I will focus on business applications of my techniques and later on move into their use in your personal life—in relationships, health, etc.
The Future: What you perceive is what you conceive. Eckhart Tolle has changed the way millions think about time. In “The Power of Now” he shows you that past and future are only projections of the mind. All we really have is this moment, the “now” as a place of change. Past and future are a series of “nows” that have or will happen. In hypnosis one can experience this quite clearly. So if you want to tune in to your future, begin by deeply quieting your mind (we will discuss some techniques next blog) and move forward by calendar months to the desired time frame. Then focus on seeing it in your mind as if you are standing in it. I call this “future present time”. Trust whatever comes–thoughts, words, images, feelings. Jot it down afterward. Then repeat it until you feel you have some clear ideas or visions. Then use your rational mind to sort out the practical applications and requirements. Share with trusted friends and get their input. Step forward and test it out with faith and confidence!

Welcome to the launch of my new website, IntuitSuccess.com. I am also new to the world of blogging but have loved writing all my life. If you like the look of this site then give ‘props’ to Chris Huller (artboredom.com) who designed this while also working a 40 hour week and preparing to be a new dad. (He also has initiated me into the mysteries of web design and SEO which may be an even bigger accomplishment).

The first caption on my web site reads, “I am a bridge.” People who cross bridges are explorers. He or she might be an entrepreneur, artist, scientist, or intrepid tourist but they all share a passion for stepping into the unknown and making new discoveries. This has been my passion as well, although like Eckhart Tolle and Neale Donald Walsch, it started with the question “How can we bring an end to suffering?”

I came to Washington, D.C. with an MBA and worked in consulting and telecommunications for a few years. I saw a lot of suffering there. Under the posturing, great fear. And from fear a desire to grasp and hold power. And from power a need to control, abuse, and dominate others. Not across the board, but enough that I was under great stress because my core self was so at odds with this environment. The work itself was not the issue because I loved problem solving and creating new ideas for products and services; I just wanted to do it in a collaborative, respectful way. So I changed careers, got a second, clinical degree and began to study in depth the causes of human behavior. This led rather quickly to Carl Jung, the Barbara Brennan School, the study of past-life regression, and so on. I began meditating and for ten years had my own written “Conversations with God”. After about 1200 pages of this the need to have pen in hand ceased. Conversations just flowed telepathically and various levels of existence could be explored. Along the way my motto always was “the proof’s in the pudding”—I wanted to see results in physical reality that would confirm the information or healing work flowing through me. I began to build a body of my own evidence—not empirical enough for the average scientist at that time, but as quantum physics became more known, many things I had seen finally could be placed into at least the working theories of a field of “hard science”.

I have taken many journeys and seen and heard things that can benefit many by helping them to open to a much larger perspective of themselves and to finally work through, if they are truly willing, their personal baggage, whether it is manifesting physically as illness, emotionally in relationships (or lack thereof), or mentally in destructive thought patterns. The natural result at the end of this clearing, if combined with certain energetic work, is enlightenment—the realization that you are a part of “all that is”.

I act as a bridge between dimensions of this all-encompassing consciousness—from the limited five senses to the Unified Field of everything, between the rational and the intuitive, between the practical and the visionary, between those living in bodies and those in spirit, and between solid and sub-atomic aspects of creation. For many years this has been kept mostly private except for those taken on as students of this work. Now I wish to share some of what I learned with a wider audience. If you are an explorer, stay tuned: this site is for you. Feel free to post questions or thoughts about your journey. Here you will find applications for your business, personal, and spiritual life. As if those could really be separated….Now is the time. The future of this planet depends upon all of us clearing and growing— and quickly, too.
